Green Willow Care Home in West Sussex chose National Grandparents Day, Sunday 5th October 2008, to host Des Lynam for a celebration of the completion of their extension and refurbishment works. The luxury care home now has 29 ensuite bedrooms, most with doors to the garden, and with internet access. There is now a spa bathroom, a wet room, a treatment room and a hairdressing suite for residents to enjoy, along with the high level of care and service which users of Green Willow have come to expect. Des Lynam shared a hog roast with us as we were entertained by the Junior Boundstone Jazz Band bringing young and old together. A cake stall, chocolate fountain and face painter meant that there was something for everyone, and there was a good turn out, with great feedback about the building works. Thankyou to all the staff, entertainers, caterers, residents and visitors for helping us all to celebrate this special day.
