Australia Day at Cleeve Lodge

We thought it would be a great idea to celebrate Australia Day by taking our residents on an armchair trip down under for the afternoon. We wanted to provide them with an opportunity to experience some of the country's customs and traditions without leaving the comfort of their home.

To start the celebration, we organized a quiz and group discussion, where residents could test their knowledge and share their experiences of the country. We also provided them with some interesting facts about the history and culture of Australia.

To make the experience even more immersive, we decided to serve some of the country's favourite foods. Residents enjoyed tasting the cuisine, which included meat pies, sausage rolls, and lamingtons. They also had the opportunity to sample some traditional Australian drinks, such as Bundaberg ginger beer.

As the weather was a bit chilly, we were unable to have a BBQ. However, we plan to revisit this celebration when the weather is warmer, so that we can have a true Aussie BBQ experience. Overall, it was a successful and enjoyable celebration that allowed our residents to learn more about Australia and its rich culture.
