National Butterfly Day

On National Butterfly Day, Green Willow residents had the privilege of meeting collectors David and Jenny, who brought along their impressive collection of butterflies. The residents were fascinated to learn about the different types of butterflies, their habitats, and their significance in the ecosystem. David and Jenny's speciality was the clouded yellows, a beautiful species that is known for its unique yellow and orange markings. They shared interesting facts about these butterflies and how they are bred. The residents were surprised to learn that the collectors had over 2,000 clouded yellows to be donated to the Oxford University Natural History Museum.
