Residents and staff from Cleeve Lodge recently packed up for a day beside the sea, heading to Weston-super-Mare for some sunshine, seaside fun and a change of scenery.
With the weather firmly on their side, the group spent time exploring Weston and visiting the Grand Pier, where there was plenty to see and do. Judging by the photos, even the dinosaurs got a little attention!
Of course, a trip to the British seaside wouldn't be complete without fish and chips. The group stopped for lunch overlooking the pier, before making room for another seaside essential, an ice cream.
Days out are a regular part of life at Cleeve Lodge, whether it's a trip to the coast, lunch at the pub, a visit to a local café or garden centre, or simply getting out for a walk nearby. Where residents would like to go and what they enjoy doing helps shape those plans.
There's something particularly special about a day at the seaside, though. For some, places like Weston-super-Mare are wonderfully familiar and bring back stories of holidays and days out over the years. For others, it's simply a chance to enjoy the sea air, have some fun and spend the day somewhere different.
After a full day of exploring, eating and enjoying the sunshine, everyone headed back to Cleeve Lodge with plenty to talk about.
