Great British Care Awards finalists! 

We have been shortlisted as finalists in this year's Great British Care Awards (GBCA) in various areas and we are over the moon to be recognised for the hard work that we do! We would like to formally introduce:

Kim Weeks, Head Chef at Green Willow 

Congratulations to Kim who has been with Green Willow for 4 years and in that time she has worked hard to ensure that Residents not only have a high quality mealtime experience that suits them, but also that their nutritional needs are looked after as well as their likes and dislikes. She really is a star and her catering for events and parties is second to none. We are delighted to announce that she has been shortlisted as a finalist for "The Care Home Cook/Chef Award" for the GBCA South West Awards. 

The Manor Cottage Staff Team

This wonderful team is led by Rayna Powell who, like many of her team, worked her way from new carer to highly skilled healthcare professional. Her values and those of the group are cascaded through everybody to provide an Outstanding (CQC rating) service. The entire workforce bond as a family with the Residents to ensure that we provide person centred and independence boosting care. It is unsurprising that this enthusiastic and experienced team have been shortlisted as a finalist in "The Care Home Team Award" for the GBCA South West Awards. 

Westbourne Care Home Staff Team

"The Social Care Covid Hero Award" is a special one for this year. We are proud to announce that the Westbourne Care Home Staff Team who are working so valiantly during the pandemic and in particular during an outbreak in April in the early days when it was very new and very frightening, have been shortlisted as finalists for this award in the GBCA South West Awards. This team humbled us with their work ethic, care and kindness and everyone in the home from the housekeepers to the Operations Manager and Director, mucked in to do the very best for our Resident community in the most challenging of situations.
