VE Day 80 – A Joyous Celebration Across Our Homes

This year marked a significant milestone — 80 years since VE Day, the end of WWII in Europe — and all four of our care homes came together to honour the occasion in the most joyful and heartfelt way.

Each home was transformed with Union Jack bunting, patriotic hats and flags, setting the stage for a truly special day. Our residents enjoyed themed meals, delicious homemade treats, and uplifting activities that brought people together in celebration and reflection.

The highlight of the day was the incredible D-Day Dollies, who performed live at all four of our homes. With their vintage style, nostalgic music, and infectious energy, they had everyone singing along, tapping their feet, and sharing memories of wartime resilience and community spirit.
