The staff atWestbourne Care Home outdid themselves this year, with all the hard work they put into making sure everyone that attended this year's summer party really enjoyed themselves! The party really made up for last year's missed event, there was a great turnout of friends and family, and the wonderful mayor of Gloucester, Collette Finnegan also joined in on the celebrations meeting and chatting with our happy residents and staff.

Westbourne and all the Kew Care Group Homes hold a summer party every year but, of course, these couldn't take place last year due to the pandemic and the restriction guidelines. This year's party wasn't the average summer party, this party was also held in remembrance of the loved ones that had been lost to families due to covid-19. A balloon release was made along with the names of the lost family members, a really heartfelt moment along with some tears too.

The home looked amazing inside and out decorated with balloons and so many smiley photos of all the many happy moments at Westbourne thus far, people danced, sang, and enjoyed the wide selection of foods, let us not forget the ice cream van that was there handing out ice creams and toppings galore!

The day was a great success thanks to all the hard work from our amazing staff team!
