It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! At Manor Cottage we started the festive season with a Christingle service from our lovely local church. Christingle is a celebration of the start of the Christmas festivities which came originally from Germany in the 1800s to explain to children the meaning of Christmas. You will see in the images that the orange represents the world and the lit candle the love of God. Our residents love this service every year. They also love making decorations and you can see some that they have made in the photo. The Manor Cottage Christmas fair was a great success on Saturday - huge thanks to everyone who helped set it up, all the stall holders and everyone who popped in to see us.
