Lest We Forget

Remembrance Day is always an emotional time particularly when most of our residents have people to honour and remember at this time of year. We always watch the Memorial processions and laying of wreaths at the Cenotaph in London, which were started by King George V in 1919. It is important to give people the opportunity to remember and we hold reminiscence groups and make our own poppies and remembrance trees at the homes. Here are a few photos to honour our residents who lived through the last world war and the many fallen soldiers who did not.
