Testing, testing.....

Did you know that we are testing our whole staff team every week and all our lovely Residents every month? Our tests are delivered in big boxes. We have to open each test bag, make up the little box it lives in, make sure all the bits and bobs are there, and then seal it up securely once the swab has been done. These photos show the process with the swab test kit. We log the test on the covid testing website and  we organise a special courier to come and pick up the tests to go to the lab. Some tests come back quite quickly, other weeks it is slower, but either way it gives us a great resource to know if someone has asymptomatic Coronavirus. However much we test temperatures and check observations, these testing regimes are brilliant at catching the people who can carry the virus without showing any signs of it at all.
