What Is a Care Home?

Care homes provide care and accommodation for older people who require additional support during their day-to-day lives. From assisting those who find routine tasks more challenging, such as cooking or getting dressed, to those who require medical care, care homes offer a variety of care types to support those with both simple and more complex needs.

As well as providing 24/7 care and support, care homes also focus on helping older people to maintain a higher quality of life through engaging activities, hobbies and outings, as well as offering high-quality facilities from in-home hair salons to beautifully landscaped gardens.

What types of care do we provide at Kew Care Group Homes?

Our four quality care homes in Bristol, West Sussex and Gloucester offer different types of high-quality care, including residential, dementia and respite care, where you are at the centre of everything that we do. Our caring and compassionate team take pride in tailoring care to every resident; each resident in our homes receives a personalised care plan which can be adapted at any point if their needs change.

Residential care

Our residential care focuses on the highest standard of relationship-centred care, helping residents to maintain their independence whilst receiving the support they require. We take pride in helping our residents to enjoy a fulfilled and enjoyable life, allowing them to maintain individual lifestyle choices alongside routines they cherish.

Dementia care

We offer the highest standard of dementia care provided by trained dementia carers, which provide gentle, empathetic care to those living with dementia. We are continuously researching in this area to improve the standards of dementia care we offer; our team is passionate about giving older people living with dementia the best quality of life through engaging activities and routines. Westbourne Care Home is particularly registered to provide dementia care.

Respite care

Our respite care provides a welcoming, comfortable environment to older people on a short-term basis. If a regular carer requires relief or if you or your loved one needs temporary support following an operation or short illness, we work hard to offer continuity of care through thorough pre-admission assessment and careful person-centred care planning to minimise disruption and potential disorientation. Facilities and engaging activities

At Kew Care Group Homes, we take pride in offering residents the very best quality of life with an all-inclusive feel. With modern and comfortable amenities from en-suite bedrooms to themed dining areas, residents can enjoy quiet time alone or spend time with friends and family in many areas of our homes. Residents also enjoy their favourite hobbies by taking part in a series of activities planned by our Dedicated Lifestyle Team, which can include arts and crafts, cooking, gardening and more.
